Dr. Dean, DNC Chairman, has had a few bad weeks, mostly due to his flapping his gums at the wrong time, place and with inappropriate content. His rantings of “I hate Republicans,” etc., has led to a pitiful job approval rating and Democratic fund raising efforts have suffered.
But all is not lost, occasionally he gets something right, although it’s plain he doesn’t realize it.
Howard Dean said Saturday that positive responses from key supporters have reinforced his determination to keep talking tough. Some congressional Democrats have suggested that the party chairman should tone down his rhetoric.
“People want us to fight,” Dean told the national party’s executive committee. “We are here to fight.”
I have little doubt his “key supporters” have flooded his inbox with encouragement. Fortunately for the Republicans they are the same “supporters” he had during the primaries. Dean has created his own little echo chamber of IPod carrying, MP3 playing, internet donors who were too damm lazy too put down their XBox long enough to bother voting for Dean in any great numbers.
That led to the infamous “scream” and continous screeching since.
