Here is the 1000 ton elephant in the room. Arab media sources in virtually every case are controlled by a country’s government. Their citizens are held hostage to hate, mis-information and outright lies. Here are a few examples of thousands:
Al-Jazeera TV, Qatar – “I say to you, oh criminal Bush … You committed the worst massacres known to human history … Allah’s curse upon you, and upon whoever supports you.” —Saleh Al-‘Armuti, Chairman of Jordanian Lawyers Association.
IRINN TV, Iran – “Allow me to say a word to the man [Bush] who won his elections by spending billions of dollars and by a court order, thus becoming a leader of a large country.” —Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran.
The Frontier Post, Pakistan – “The tone of Hamas is perceptibly soft, and could ameliorate further if encouraged. If pushed into a tight corner, however, it could hit back, as the weak often do.”
Qatar TV (Sheik Yousef Al-Qaradhawi Explains Why Muslim Anger is Justified, February 3, 00:05:24) – “It is told that Imam Al-Shafi’ said: ‘Whoever was angered and did not rage is a jackass.’ We are not a nation of jackasses. We are not jackasses for riding, but lions that roar. We are lions that zealously protect their dens, and avenge affronts to their sanctities.”
And finally, and only because the examples are in the tens of thousands, this editorial in the Le Matin of Morroco. It is included not for the hate it might propagate, (it makes some reasonable arguments) but shows the utter hypocrisy of the Arab world.
In plain view for all the protesters, jihadists and Islamofacists to see are the “disputed cartoons.”
Where is the outrage? The burning of foreign embassies in Morocco?
There are none, wonder why?
