The world is aghast!
The question is why? Wasn’t it inevitable, just as it is for Iran to develop and eventually test one? I mean really. With the U.N. and IAEA involved what other outcome should be expected? No one, save for Israel in the case of Iran, is willing to go into either country and take away what the world community wants off the shelf.
And when in comes down to it, N. Korea’s little pop-gun sized nuc (550 tons at current estimates) isn’t much of a threat. Well, maybe to themselves when you consider the missile technology they would have to use. They can’t get a 6,000 mile missile to fly further than a couple hundred miles.
This all presumes the test went off without a hitch. Some believe this test, like the No Dong <del <missile bottle rocket test, was a dud of epic proportions.
My bottomline is this, whatdaya gonna do? Really. As crazy as they both seem, neither Amademajihadist nor Little Kim are suicidal. They both have enough on the ball to realize any attempt to use a nuc in anger would result in two brand new parking lots, one paved with congealed sand other with baked Kimche.
In the overall scheme of things not a bad thing. Especially if both parking lots were part of a preemptive strike. But that will never happen.
And BTW, there is a significance to NKor testing today. It’s the anniversary of Kim Jong-il’s assumption of power.
Happy anniversary Little Kim!
