Obviously it’s way too early for Hillary Clinton to make a selection for her running mate. With Obama-wamma-slamma hovering around the presidential race she may never get the chance to make a selection.
Setting aside for the moment a [Dim]ocrat’s dream team of a women and a Black-American (who’s an empty suit) as running mates she might do well to pick a Boy Toy who mirrors her own ideology.
Take a look at these two qoutes and see if you don’t agree.
Hillary: “I want to take those profits …” This is in reference to oil company profits because she believes it her right to turn capitalism on its head by using those profits to fund alternative energy research.
To reduce carbon emissions, Edwards recognizes that people may have to pay more for gasoline. And he is not ruling out new taxes or increasing old ones.
The universal health care plan he wants is going to be expensive and some people will have to pay more.
Eradicating poverty, his signature issue, will also require more money from taxpayers.
And Edwards does not favor any new tax cuts for the middle-class.
Isn’t there a risk in asking voters to sacrifice while other candidates are promising them things? I asked him.
“There is clearly a political risk, no question,” he said. “But I actually believe this is what America needs.”
“I am totally comfortable with the word sacrifice, with asking people to sacrifice for their country,” he said.
Two peas in a pod I’d say. One wants to rape the oil companies of profits to fund her green agenda while the other desires to hurt the “common man” he claims to support via higher gas prices, higher taxes to fund government health care and he won’t cut taxes for the middle class.
Be afraid… very, very afraid!
