Funny, I recall a media representative of The Huffington Post make the claim they would be doing some house cleaning and not allow the long streams of invective and foul language that reside in their opinion pieces and comment threads.
Guess the house cleaning doesn’t include those that are calling for a military coup d’état. Martin Lewis, a left-wing lunatic I’ve never heard of, is advocating just that.
In a letter to General Peter Pace he asks that he “relieve the President of his command.” It should be noted Lewis would keep Bush in place as President but would only remove him “of his military role as Commander-In-Chief.”
Lewis believes through the use of the military’s Uniform Code Of Military Justice it’s Gen. Pace’s duty to remove Bush as Commander-In-Chief. One only has to read his first quote from the UCMJ to see how delusional Lewis is:
“Though not specifically mentioned in this chapter, all disorders and neglects to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces, all conduct of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces, and crimes and offenses not capital, of which persons subject to this chapter may be guilty, shall be taken cognizance of by a general, special, or summary court-martial, according to the nature and degree of the offense, and shall be punished at the discretion of that court.”
Lewis puzzle me this, how do you court-martial a civilian?
Never mind whatever Lewis believes warrants Bush’s removal (which are moonbat material) just how does he plan to conduct this “court-martial” on an individual that falls outside its legal reach?
Maybe in a follow-on HuffPuff post Lewis will outline how the draft will be temporarily instituted, Bush drafted, and THEN and court-martial will commence.
Or maybe… the man is stark-raving mad!
Capt. Ed has the best response to Lewis’ acute case of BDS I’ve read at this point with more to follow I’m sure.
