In a way I shouldn’t give one wit what an asshatted writer like Gore Vidal thinks or writes about, he’s long been a thorn in the side of common sense and reason, but, sometimes you just gotta laugh at some of the shit this guy brings to the table.

It will take the the United States a century to recover from the damage wreaked by President George W Bush, US writer Gore Vidal said in an interview published today.

“The president behaved like a virtual criminal but we didn’t have the courage to sack him for fear of violating the American constitution,” Mr Vidal told the El Mundo newspaper.

The author, a trenchant critic of the US-led invasion of Iraq, said it would take the United States 100 years to repair the damage caused by Bush.

“We live in a dictatorship. We have a fascist government …which controls the media,” he said.

Got that? This nitwit makes the claim Bush hasn’t been impeached because to OH SOOOO far left loons in Congress didn’t want to violate the Constitution to do so.

So obviously he would support what amounts to a “fascist government” as long as it impeached the president. Fuck the Constitution in that case!

Would you be surprised to learn Gore thinks The ObamaMessiah is the smartest thing to come on the scene since, well, I don’t know when since. He just is, at least according to this asshat.

Not only that he thinks Sen. McCain’s Vietnam war history is a figment of the Senators imagination:

Asked what he thinks of McCain, Vidal calls him a “disaster,” then tells Deborah Solomon, “Who started this rumor that he was a war hero? Where does that come from, aside from himself? About his suffering in the prison war camp?”

Solomon replies: “Everyone knows he was a prisoner of war in North Vietnam.” To which Vidal responds: “That’s what he tells us.”

Does this guy, at the age of 82 still have a working brain cell?Related articles

The closer ObamaMessiah gets to the White House the bolder the loony left become and no better exaple of that is thisunmittaged garbage published in the Seattle Times:

Democrats are rebuking President Bush for saying in his speech to the Knesset, here, that to “negotiate with terrorists and radicals” is “appeasement.” The Democrats took it as a slap at Barack Obama. What bothers me is the continual reference to Hitler and his National Socialists, particularly the British and French accommodation at the Munich Conference of 1938.

The narrative we’re given about Munich is entirely in hindsight. We know what kind of man Hitler was, and that he started World War II in Europe. From the view of 1938, what Hitler was demanding at Munich was not unreasonable, according to the prevailing idea of the nation-state. His claim was that the German-speaking areas of Europe–and ones that thought of themselves as German –be under German authority. He had just annexed Austria, which was German-speaking, without bloodshed. There were two more small pieces of Germanic territory: the free city of Danzig and the Sudetenland, a border area of what is now the Czech Republic.

We live in an era when you do not change national borders for these sorts of reasons. We have learned the hazards of it. But 1938 was only 19 years since Germany’s borders had been redrawn, and not to its benefit. In the democracies there was some sense of guilt with how Germany had been treated after World War I. Certainly there was a memory of the “Great War.” In 2008, we have entirely forgotten World War I, and how utterly unlike any conception of “The Good War” it was. When the British let Hitler have a slice of Czechoslovakia, they were following the historical lesson they had learned 1914-1918: avoid war. War produces results far more horrible than you expected. War is a bad investment. It is not glorious. Don’t give anyone an excuse to start one.

Classic leftist loony left douchebaggery, it’s all America’s fault because of WW I.

And also note this left turd changed the text of the original, this is what he originally wrote:

“What Hitler was demanding was not unreasonable. He wanted the German-speaking areas of Europe under German authority. He had just annexed Austria, which was German-speaking, without bloodshed. There were two more small pieces of Germanic territory: the free city of Danzig and the Sudetenland, a border area of what is now the Czech Republic.”

He added “The narrative we’re given about Munich is entirely in hindsight. We know what kind of man Hitler was, and that he started World War II in Europe. From the view of 1938,” after he received a bunch of grief.”

Fuck PETAAs expected the nutcakes at PETA have jumped on death’s bandwagon.

After the injury to filly Eight Belles in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby and being euthanized on track following her second-place finish PETA spokes-fruitcake Kathy Guillermo claims there should be an investigation of the incident and if needed the jockey suspended.

PETA faxed a letter Sunday to Kentucky’s racing authority claiming the filly was “doubtlessly injured before the finish” and asked that Saez be suspended while Eight Belles’ death is investigated.

“What we really want to know, did he feel anything along the way?” PETA spokeswoman Kathy Guillermo said. “If he didn’t then we can probably blame the fact that they’re allowed to whip the horses mercilessly.”

What us normal people want to know is where do these people come from? Does PETA offer recruiting drives for new members on Mars? Or the more appropriate Uranus!

Do they send “short buses” to mental health units across the nation as part of a yearly membership drive?

Wonder what would happen if the People for the Edible Treatment of Animals let it be known the dead horse would be used to feed 5,000 thousand starving kids in Bangladesh?

Would they applaud the move, or would their heads explode like the liver of a force-fed goose in the production of foie gras?

The GoracleIn an exclusive interview with the British newspaper The Sun, Al Gore finally revealed what many had long been hoping for: a proper sequel to his game-changing 2006 documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Lamenting that relatively little – aside from a more receptive public mindset – had changed since the release of his first film, Gore said that only concerted action from the world community could now prevent the worst excesses of global warming.

So The Goracle wants a “proper” sequel.

Don’t we all.

One that corrects the bald-faced lies of the first one.

I won’t hold me breath waiting for that to happen.

But I will fire up the 8 mpg Mitsu Pajero and let it run at idle in the driveway for a couple hours just for the hell of it.

UPDATE: And I forgot to add phony Antarctic ice shelves.

UPDATE II: I guess The Goracle has been caught in another of a long line of lies. A spokeswoman for Paramount, the production company behind Al Gore’s *cough* Oscar-winning *cough* 2006 film said that no movie sequel is in the works. “There are no plans for a sequel,” Lehrer said. “That is the official word.”

I have to admit I had zero in common with the PaulBots, but no longer.

The wonder and promise of Paulville has completely changed my outlook on this merry band of nutcakes and viral poll spammers.

Think of the possibilities, the place is gated. It can be locked from the outside, and patrolled. By heavily armed guards.

Hell, if the damn place floats it could be christened as the S.S. Paulville and sent on a perpetual circumnavigation of the globe. With Jimmah Carter as Captain.

Hey, I’m not here to just be critical, I’m here to help and offer advice. I suggest you get together with the lunatics who want Vermont to secede from the Union.

You can all have you own little “special place” set aside from us… well, from us normal people.

BTW, the over/under betting on the first PaulBot hitting this post with their patented, disjointed nonsense is 2 hours.

Time CoverFurious World War II veterans called for a boycott of one of America’s most influential and respected magazines today over a controversial picture on its front cover.

Next week’s Time magazine cover is based on the famous photograph of marines raising the US flag on Iwo Jima during the bloody battle in the Pacific. But artists have replaced the flag with a tree to illustrate an article about global warming. As well as the angry veterans, the image provoked a huge backlash among younger Americans who have been brought up to honour their flag.

Iwo Jim veteran Donald Mates, 81, said: “It’s an absolute disgrace. Whoever did it is going to hell. That’s a mortal sin. God forbid he runs into a Marine that was an Iwo Jima survivor.” Mr Mates was badly wounded and saw his best friend die beside him during the 35-day battle in February and March, 1945. He suffered 30 years of operations to remove all the shrapnel from his body.

Former platoon leader Lt John Wells, 84, said: “We’ll stick a dadgum tree up somebody’s rear if they think that magazine cover is going to cure anything.” Tim Holbert, spokesman for the American Veterans Centre, said: “This photo trivializes the most recognizable moment of one of the bloodiest battles in US history.”
Iwo Jima Flag Raising
Time managing editor Richard Stengel said: “Our story says there needs to be an effort along the lines of preparing for World War II to combat global warming and climate change.”

And “mr.” managing editor, that couldn’t have been done by using another image, one that doesn’t denigrate the sacrifice of tens of thousands, both Japanese and Americans, that lost their lives in the bloodiest battle of the Pacific Theater?

Joe Rosenthal photographed five Marines, Ira Hayes, Mike Strank, Franklin Sousley, Rene Gagnon, Harlon Block, and a U.S. Navy corpsman, John Bradley, raising the U.S. flag atop Mount Suribachi. The photograph records what was actually the second flag-raising on the mountain, which took place on the fifth day of the 35-day battle. The picture became the iconic image of the battle and some claim it to be the most reproduced photograph of all time.

“mr. managing editor” of time magazine (lower case intentional) take a good look at it and tell me which is more important. It DAMN sure isn’t praying at the altar of The Goracle sipping his Kool-Aid of Inconvenient Bullshit.

MorganWrites notes Stengel also appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on April 17 where, no surprise, he displayed what a blithering idiot he is:

“I think since I’ve been back at the magazine, I have felt that one of the things that’s needed in journalism is that you have to have a point of view about things,” Stengel said. “You can’t always just say ‘on the one hand, on the other’ and you decide. People trust us to make decisions. We’re experts in what we do. So I thought, you know what, if we really feel strongly about something let’s just say so.”

Um no, asshat. Time is, or I should say was, a news magazine.

News, as in reporting of it without bias or preconceived notions by its writers or any other member of the editorial staff.

And these fuckwits wonder why circulation of all the legacy media outlets are tanking.

If you possess Photoshop mad skills and have a desire to counter what these jack holes have done this is the place for any images you may produce.

RAMALLAH, West Bank (Reuters) – Former President Jimmy Carter, shunned by Israeli leaders over his plans to meet Hamas, said on Tuesday he sought permission to enter the Islamist-ruled Gaza Strip but was turned down.

Carter did not single out Israel by name for having turned down his request to visit Gaza, which Hamas seized in June after routing Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s secular Fatah faction.

Gee thanks Jimmy The Dhimmi, that’s mighty white of ya. But it’s better you didn’t – you’ve already made a fool of yourself for being there – no sense lying about any influence Israel has over Gaza. If Israel did they wouldn’t spend half their time dodging Katusha rockets fired from Gaza.

Jimmy The Dhummi, asshat extraordinare!

As per usual Jay Tea asks the salient questions, on what to do with Asshat-in-Chief Jimmy Carter:

1) Prosecute him for meeting with a known terrorist organization.
B) Prosecute him for violating the Logan Act and attempting to negotiate with a foreign government without the consent of the United States government.
III) Yank his passport and tell him he’s not welcome back here in the US.
d) Give him another Nobel Prize and nominate him for president as a “compromise” between Clinton and Obama.
iiiii) Pack him off to the Old Moonbats Home.

As I write this choices 1 & III are neck-in-neck. I believe I’d vote “none of the above.” We need a fund drive to pay his way into space on the Russian’s Rent-A-Rocket scam. Blast his worthless ass off to the ISS and he can live out his days away from most major harm.

Notice I say most, it’s possible in his confused state he’d think he was on a Habitat for Humanity project, drive a nail through the Space Station skin and kill everyone.
